Firefighters rescue woman who fell into well in southern India

A woman who accidentally fell into a well was rescued by firefighters in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

The incident took place in Elavur on June 24.

The video shows, firefighters in action getting down the well, placing the women in a chair, and pulling her up from the well. 

The woman is seen bleeding from her head due to the fall.

According to the reports, the woman fell in a well near her house.

On noticing, family members and neighbours informed the fire department, who rushed to the spot and carried out the rescue operation.

Madhavaram fire department officials who carried out the rescue operation ensured that the woman was not injured even more while pulling her up from the well and planned to use a chair to make her sit and pulled her up.

The woman is being treated at a nearby government hospital for injuries.
