While a family was on vacation in Tennesse three bears came to explore the cabin they were staying in with an unexpected surprise.

The clip, filmed on June 22, shows two cubs and their mum exploring the porch before the mum runs up and slams on the door.

The filmer, Joel, explained to Newsflare: "We were watching the bears from the balcony of our cabin when they began to come up the mountain towards our garbage containers. My mom remembered that the front door was not latched so we all ran to the door to close it.

"We were already taking pictures of them so our phones were readily available. The rest you can see in the video. The bear's paw print and nose print were on the glass. It's unbelievable it didn't break. When the camera goes to the floor I was holding the door closed. It sure made a memory we all will never forget!"

While on vacation in Gatlinburg Tennesse these bears came to our cabin on the evening of June 22. The video shows the cubs coming to the door and then the mom slams against the door to protect her cubs.
