A technical glitch forced an Air Force helicopter to make an emergency landing in the middle of an expressway in northern India's Haryana.

The incident took place near the Yamuna Bridge in the lane from Ghaziabad to Kundli on the Eastern Peripheral Expressway on June 26.

According to reports, the two-seater helicopter developed some technical snag and the pilot made an emergency landing in the middle of the expressway.

The video shows the helicopter slowly descending towards the expressway until it comes to a complete stop.

The incident left the toll officers baffled who alerted the police personnel.

The Sonepat police rushed to the spot after receiving information.

At the same time, the Deputy Commissioner of Sonepat also reached the spot to control the situation and maintain the traffic.

The helicopter halted traffic movement on the expressway for nearly an hour until it was being repaired by the technicians who reached the spot soon after the emergency landing.

Following this, the helicopter took off from the spot.
