A tree-climbing snake was met with serious opposition by a group of parrots who were defending their nesting eggs from the adventurous reptile in the Chengalpat district of Tamilnadu.

The footage captured on June 11 at the Vedanthangal bird sanctuary in a village of the same name shows the group of squawking parrots use a series of aerial attacks against the snake as it climbs a dried coconut tree that the flock were nesting in.

After a while, the snake falls from the trunk of the tree into nearby foliage.

Vedanthangal is a bird sanctuary and a village in chengalpat district of Tamilnadu. Ramakrishnan is a landlord in that village. In his farm there was a dried coconut tree even though it gave a shelter for some parrots for nesting. A couple of parrots build their nest in the tree and mother parrot laid eggs in the nest and was waiting for the hatchings. All of a sudden a snake climbed the tree like a pro and it was sniffing the smell of the eggs. A hunger snake almost reached the nest to eat the eggs but within a fraction of second came the mama parrots and it's spouse with the help of other birds pricked the snake with its sharp nostrils. Unbearable to the pain the snake slipped down from the tree and just climbed down. Mama parrots and the rest birds had a heavy sign of relief.
