This is the heartwarming moment a male adult elephant breaks the fences of an enclosure to free the orphaned calves inside.

CCTV footage recorded on June 13 at Huai Kha Khaeng Wildlife Sanctuary in Uthai Thani province, northern Thailand shows the wild jumbo tearing down the bamboo barricade made to shelter the baby elephants, which were being cared for by park rangers.

Park keepers said that the elephant is named Nga Deiw. He is trying to create a hole so that the babies could sneak out.

In the video, the giant was using its trunk and foot pouncing on the railing. The keepers said the animal walked out of the area 10 minutes later.

The keepers said: "We are not sure about the reason why Nga Diew wanted to get in the shelter and free the calves. It did not harm any young elephants, and left after a few minutes."
