Terrified residents found a deadly Malayan Pit Viper in a garden hedge in Krabi, southern Thailand.

They called the rescue team who carefully pulled out the snake, one of the most deadly serpents in the world.

The species, named Calloselasma, is classed as ''very dangerous'' and is endemic to Southeast Asia from Thailand to northern Malaysia and on the island of Java.
