Snake attacks animal handlers when its caught in family's front yard
A fierce snake trying to get inside a house attacked animal handlers in Thailand.
The Huai Khwang rescue team in Bangkok rushed to the property after the owner called them for help to take the wild animal out of his front yard on June 20.
The 6ft long rat snake was seen trying to enter the living room while the volunteers were using wooden brooms to pin down the animal.
The wild creature was pushed under the metal gate. It then reared up and tried to bite one of the catchers.
The rescue team spent ten minutes chasing the snake before finally stuffing it into a sack. No one was harmed by the reptile and it was released back into the wild far from property.
One rescuer said: "The snake was wild and big but it was not that difficult to catch it. I am glad that everyone was safe."
