Some of New York's most famous buildings have turned the colours of the rainbow to celebrate Pride Month.

Behind The Stonewall Inn, the site of the riots of 1969 which are widely credited as the key event which led to the beginning of the fight for equality for LGBTQ people, a truck blasted a huge stream of rainbow lights into the sky.

Also lit up to mark Pride were the Empire State Building, the spire of the One World Trade Center, the Kosciusko Bridge, the Bank of America spire and Grand Central Station.

June 27 2020 - NEW YORK CITY, New York: All across the city, buildings and structures shown the colors of the rainbow to celebrate pride month in honor of the LGBTQ community.
Behind The Stonewall Inn, the site of the Stonewall Riots and the hub of the gay community in NYC, a truck sponsored by Kind Bars, blasted a stream of light into the sky in the color of the rainbow, eminating over the top of the Stonewall Inn. The truck was on 7th Avenue South and decked in hundreds of lights that pointed into the sky the visible color spectrum.
