Tiger caught dragging away remains of three-day-old baby elephant in southern India

A tiger rushed to drag away the remains of a three-day-old female baby elephant, that had died along with its mother while giving birth, in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

The incident took place inside the Mudumalai Tiger Reserve of Nilgiris district on June 26.

The video shows, the tiger holding the remains of the baby elephant between its jaw and going away.

According to the reports, a mother elephant and a newborn baby elephant died three days ago.

Since then, the forest officials have been having watch over the mortal remains.

That’s when the tiger was caught on camera trying to take away the remains of the baby elephant.
