An East Midlands Ambulance service ambulance collided with a car this morning (29/06/2020) whilst responding to a 999 call at 08:27am.

Wendy Bainbridge, Ambulance Operations Manager for the Nottinghamshire Division of EMAS said: “One of our ambulances responding to a 999 call was involved in a road traffic collision at 8.27am on 29 June at Wollaton Road in Beeston. We sent a paramedic in a fast response car. Following an initial assessment on scene, no-one involved in this road traffic collision required hospital treatment."

"The incident will be investigated by the police and it is therefore inappropriate to make any further comment at this time."

The incident comes at a time when pressure on the NHS and trusts such as the EMAS are at an all time high and the removal of an ambulance during these unprecedented times caused by coronavirus is unwelcome.
