Firemen in central China rescued residents trapped in flooded building after a rainstorm.

In the video, filmed in the city of Zhongxiang in Hubei Province on June 28, firefighters sat on an assault boat to move through the flooded streets and arrived at a submerged building to evacuate five residents trapped on the ground floor.

In another clip, firefighters helped rescue a mother and a daughter who got trapped on the first floor of a residential building after the ground floor was flooded.

More than 300 rescuers, five canoes and three assault boats were sent to rescue and evacuate around 1,000 trapped residents, according to reports.

6月27号至28号，钟祥市双河镇遭受特大暴雨袭击，20小时降雨量达到301毫米。持续强降雨导致双河镇镇区多处低洼房屋、道路被淹，最深处水深达到1.5米，一千多人被困。危急时刻，荆门钟祥两地消防救援队员、钟祥市人武部官兵、公安干警紧急出动，营救被困人员。副市长、公安局局长杨剑现场指挥救援。
到达现场后，救援人员分为四组。一艘橡皮艇作为机动力量，在街面搜救需要被转移的群众，还有三艘冲锋舟，每艘配备两名当地向导分片区分批转移被困群众。
在双河镇一栋私房内，5名群众被暴涨的河水围困，家中一楼已经洪水泛滥，水位最深处已漫过腰部。在侦查现场情况后，救援人员立即用冲锋舟划到被困人员家门口对被困人员进行转移。
经过短短几分钟的救援，被困人员被成功转移。
在双河社区万景花园小区，暴雨导致居民楼一楼已经全部被水淹没，楼里还有一对母女被困，生活不便，非常着急。救援人员迅速采用背、抱、扶的方式，成功把她们转移了出来。
截至6月28号晚上八点，救援共出动镇村干部196人，公安干警70人，消防、民兵、蓝天救援队共50人，出动皮划艇5个，冲锋舟3艘，340户997名受困群众已全部被救援转移。目前，各救援队仍在双河镇随时待命，如有群众求援将迅速组织救援。（视频由湖北台提供）
