Mixer truck drags elderly Chinese woman along road after she runs red light
A mixer truck dragged an elderly woman along a road for more than a hundred metres after she ran a red light in eastern China.
The CCTV video, shot in the city of Nantong in Jiangsu Province on June 23, shows an old woman pushing her scooter while crossing a road when the traffic light for pedestrians was red.
A mixer truck suddenly moved forwards, knocking over the woman and dragging her and the scooter along the road.
Fortunately, the elderly woman only suffered skin trauma.
According to reports, the elderly woman ran the red light to cross the road as she saw the vehicles did not move.
Since the woman was in the driver's blind spot, the truck driver did not know what happened until he heard abnormal noise and stopped his vehicle to check.
The elderly woman took the main responsibility of the incident.
