Sea turtles mate in the surf on beach in Florida
Beachgoers were amazed after seeing a couple of sea turtles mating near the shore in Florida on June 7.
Coastal village resident Rochelle Elliott recorded the two creatures entwined as the surf splashed around them close to the Archie Carr National Wildlife Refugee on Melbourne beach.
Footage shows the marine animal paddling though big waves, which lash them against the seaside. One was seen trying to get on top of the other reptile before they were swept back into the ocean.
Rochelle said: "It was such a beautiful, rare sight. I feel honoured to have seen it at least once in my life.''
