Fire department officials rescue deer and calf from dry well in southern India

A calf and a deer that fell into a dry well after dogs started chasing them, were rescued by firefighters in the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

The incident took place in Chengam of Tiruvannamalai district on July 4.

The video shows, the fire department officials and villagers working together to rescue the animals from the well. Officials were also seen getting inside the well and tying a rope around the animals in order to facilitate others to pull them out of the facility.

According to the reports, the calf and deer entered the village in search of water and were chased by dogs when they accidentally fell into the well.

They were rescued by the for department officials who immediately arrived at the scene.
