This is the stomach churning moment a python regurgitated a prized fighting rooster.

The 10ft long snake raided the chicken coop in Chachoengsao province, Thailand, while the owner was away.

A shocked neighbours heard the birds squealing and found the python when they went to check what had happened.

Animal handlers arrived and dragged the reptile out into the yard where it slowly began spitting out one of the game cocks. The second bird was lodged too deeply in its stomach to be removed.

The neighbour, Adisak, said: ''The owner's away visiting relatives out in the province. He'll be devastated when he comes back and finds two of his birds have been killed by a snake. They're so valuable. He breeds them for fighting.''

The python was stuffed into a sack and driven away in a pickup truck to be released into the wild.
