This 95-year-old man in southern India is revered as a god due to his 24-foot-long hair.

Doddapalliah from Molakalmuru has never cut his hair in his entire lifetime. He believes if he chops his hair off he will lose his status as a human god.

Local villagers, who consider him sacred and holy, flock to get blessings from him every day. He also requires their help to tie his hair up.

A 95-year old man is revered as a human god by the villager because his hair is more than 24-ft long and in his lifetime he has never cut his hair.

Doddapalliah, 98 yrs (approx) old from Myasarahatti Village, Molakalmuru Taluk, Chitradurga District, Karnataka hasn’t cut his hair for ever in his life. Since times of his father and grandfather they are devotees of Lord Sri Shaila Mallikarjuna and Doddapalliah has offered his life time in preserving his hair to the temple.
He believes that if he chop his hair he will lose his status as human God as Lord Mallikajuna will take away the blessings from his head.

Villagers consider him sacred and holy and flock to get blessings from him every day.

At the age of 95 he still has that 24-ft long hair and seeks the help of the villagers to tie the knot from him as it keeps growing each and every day.

He never applies oil in his hair not even water but will take bath thrice only for the body.

The secret to his long hair is that he will keep it covered in the white cloth making it like a turban on his head.

The 95-year-old is now weak and therefore he is finding difficulty in maintaining the hair and will ask his fellow villagers and helper to tie his hair.
The video is shot by MIPA news exclusively show that the man is seeking help of the villagers to unwrap the hair which is now considered as sacred.

Then he ties the knot with a white cloth on the top of his head.

When MIPA News asked if he had ever wished to enter the Guinness Book Of World Record for his hair, Doddapalliah said that he lives in a small village and is not aware about any such world record. He says now his age is not that much left to be able record but it would be interesting thing to do in fact.
