The Acropolis in Athens, one of Greece's main tourist attractions, was deserted on Tuesday (July 7) despite the country reopening its borders to tourists.

On July 1, Greece reopened its borders to European travellers, except Sweden.

Greece re-allowed visitors arriving at the country by easing the lockdown and travel ban measures since July 1, 2020 as the tourism industry is one of the largest income sector for the country. A few tourists arrive and visit Acropolis daily with raising numbers every day.
