Consecutive thunderstorms in southwest Manitoba have caused flash flooding washing out roads and prompting evacuation orders.

Footage from July 2 shows a Rivers road washed out as unprecedented amounts of water have caused local rivers to overflow.

Multiple rounds of severe thunderstorms across Southwest Manitoba have caused flash flooding, washed-out roads, overflowing rivers, and the risk of a 60-year-old DAM breaking for areas of Southwest Manitoba.

The province of Manitoba has issued High Water Alerts and Mandatory evacuation orders for residents in the Rivers, Manitoba area as they have little confidence that the River DAM along the Little Saskatchewan River will be able to hold the unprecedented amounts of water that is has been impacted with recently.
