Prime Minister inaugurates 750 megawatt solar plant via video conferencing in Central India

Asia’s largest solar power plant spread across 1500 hectares of land was inaugurated by the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi via video conferencing in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.

The incident took place in Rewa district on July 10.

The video shows, the solar panels spread across thousands of hectares of land.

According to the reports, the entire project is valued at 0.60 billion USD ( 4000 crore Rs ) and has three units of 250 MW (megawatts) each.

The project was developed by Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited (RUMSL) along with company named Urja Vikas Nigam Limited and Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) as a joint venture.

Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi stated that, not just for the present, solar energy will be the medium of energy needs in the 21st century because the energy is sure, pure and secure.
