This is the astonishing moment dozens of ants 'kidnapped' a centipede by carrying it back to their nest.

The insects swarmed around the creepy-crawlie and paralyzed it on the ground in Surat Thani, Thailand, on July 9.

They were then recorded dragging their meaty creature back to their den for the rest of the ants to feast on it.

Onlooker Phawat Sukkata recorded the daylight kidnap with the ants working together harmoniously.

Phawat said: "These ants are showing how working in unity can be more powerful. They are much smaller than the centipede but when they work as a team they are more powerful.''
