COMET NEOWISE RISING AT DAWN AND BRIGHT VENUS

Comet C/2020 F3 NEOWISE rising behind a mountain in the swiss Alps around 4 AM sunday morning July 12, 2020 .

The comet's long dust tail is visible long before the nucleus appears.

The comet slowly rises with the surrounding stars as day breaks.

Later in the video the camera slowly turns to the right to show the very bright planet Venus , a.k.a. " the morning star " which currently shines at magnitude -4.7 , her brightest , in the constellation Taurus near the red star Aldebaran.

In the last scene the comet is near a thin cloud.

Camera : Sony a7s , with various lenses to show various fields-of-view ( Canon EF 200/2.8L , EF 85/1.8 , Mitakon 35/0.95 )

Filmed in realtime at 25 fps but edited accellerated up to x 4 timelapse

Sound edited ( Eurasian Eagle-Owl in the distance , sound recorded on another night in the region ).

Location : Alpage de Flore, a mountain pasture north of Conthey in SW Switzerland.

The comet is currently still visible in the early morning in the north-north-east and will also become visible starting this week in the early evening sky in the north-north-west.
