Demonstrators with firecrackers and torches storm Serbian Parliament in Belgrade
This footage was filmed and produced 10 July 2020.
Serbian police detained 71 people after clashes during the fourth night of protests against the Serbian president that were initially sparked by his plans to reintroduce a coronavirus lockdown.
Fourteen policemen were injured in the rioting Friday evening when hundreds of right-wing demonstrators tried to storm the parliament building in downtown Belgrade.
"In this video a group of demonstrators with firecrackers and torches broke through the fence in front of the assembly, stood in front of the cordon, chanting loudly.
Some time later, the police started throwing tear gas (3 times), after which most of us ran away," said Ana Marija Ilić, author of the videos.
