Butterfly - The tale of colorful insects migration
The migration of the butterflies from the hills shows us the beautiful paradise of butterflies. The migration is largely connected to rainfall. Thousands of butterflies took the skies and showed us wonders in their wings. Every year butterflies migrate across Tamilnadu moving from the nilgiris to Javvadu hills before arriving to sathyamangalam reserve forest. More than 6 species of Butterflies can be seen near the Bheenman falls of Jawathu hills. The javathu hills is is located as an extension of the Eastern ghats that lies in the Thiruvannamalai District. Its is located 1100 meters above from the sea level.
Its said that the butterflies have arrived here for matting and breeding. The start of the south west Monsoon may be a failure in these hills but that didn’t stop these coloury feathered friends from dating. Mesmerized sight of butterflies in Javaathu hills shows that the ecologists should focus on the rich ecology of the hills and must do a research on Butterflies.
