Firman Priyadi, Head of the North Aceh District Attorney's Office, reported that the verdict of the Syar'iyah Lhoksukon Court on April 22, 2020, the defendant was sentenced to caning 80 times. However, the defendant had been detained for a period of 6 months, from the time of the investigation to the trial, so the whip sentence was reduced to 74 lashes. The caning is carried out according to the health protocol recommended during the coronavirus pandemic, with face masks and face shields so that the defendants can be flogged.
