Man refuses to pay toll tax, thrashed toll employee with at least dozen men in northern India
A toll plaza employee was thrashed by at least a dozen "rowdy" men after he demanded a toll tax from a person in northern India's Uttar Pradesh.
The visual came out of Beel Akbarpur toll plaza in Dadri police station area of Eastern Peripheral Expressway in Greater Noida on July 14.
According to reports, a man inside a car approaching the toll denied from paying he regular toll tax identifying himself "a local" of the place.
However, the toll employee Avneesh refused to believe his narrative and continued demanding for the toll.
The conversation escalated to a brief argument where the accused threatened Avneesh "to pick him up."
After around ten minutes the accused returned with at least a dozen men in a Scorpio car and a motorcycle.
The CCTV footage shows the miscreants coming out of the car and pushing Avneesh to the ground.
Following this, they thrashed him brutally and left him on the ground, before fleeing the spot.
Sources suggest Avneesh is seriously injured and is currently at the hospital.
At the same time, a complaint has been raised in this case at the Dadri police.
A senior official at the toll plaza told media that such brawls are common in the area, however, police turn a blind eye to the inquiries.
