Protesters took to streets of Kiev, Ukraine on Thursday (July 15) to express their anger at amendments to a bill that delays the Ukrainisation of the education system.

The bill that would make the Ukrainian language compulsory in schools has been delayed until 2023.

In this regard, the political party "European solidarity" brought its supporters under the Parliament to protest the decision. Several hundred participants from 9 am to 3 PM stood in the scorching sun in front of a stage where political leaders, cultural figures, music and artists performed. Consideration of the law was postponed the previous day, but the party did not stop and it withdrew its supporters.
