A large waterspout tornado was spotted in Yanam, India yesterday (July 17).

The clip filmed in the small town shows the waterspout making its way towards buildings with debris caught in it.

A fisherman in the area explained how they have never witnessed a waterspout like this.

Prawn farming and fish cultivation is a main source of income to the people of Yenam and the tornado waterspouts destroyed their farms.

Tornado Waterspouts that are also known as tornadoes over water say hello to yenam for the first time in the history. Yenam is a small town that is in the river beds of Godhavari river. Over years they have not witness a waterspout like this says a fisherman of that particular area. This coastal area comes in the borders of Andhra and Pondicherry.
Over the past couple of days the climate was a little bit cloudy and rains were pouring occasionally. But all of a sudden today at 12.32 clock there was a gusty winds. But when seen clearly it is the tornado waterspout. As prawn farming and fish Cultivation is the source of income to the people over there this tornado waterspouts made the situation worse for them. The farms were destroyed due to this waterspouts.
