The Royal Thai Navy transported a retired aircraft from the carrier to display at their headquarters in Chonburi, eastern Thailand.

Footage from July 12 morning shows the motorcade with the trailer that carried the Harrier AV-8S, escorted by a police car.

The retired vertical short take-off and landing plane was moved to the entrance of the Navy headquarters where it will be displayed along with the other eight planes of the same model.

The model AV-8S were purchased in 1997 and had been on duty on the aircraft carrier HTMS Chakri Naruebet for 23 years before they were discharged due to their obsolete.

Admiral Leuchai Ruddit said the planes were destined to be displayed to show the force of the army.

He said: "Since they had served the army for over 20 years, we want to display it to show the power of our force."
