PCS members at the British Library in London walked out this morning (Thursday 16th May 2013), with entrances picketed in the morning and in the evening.
The strike action was decided upon in opposition to the Government’s plan of cuts and attacks on the workplace conditions and the levels of service that the British Library would be able provide.
Today was chosen as it is the eve of the opening of a new Propaganda: Power and Persuasion exhibition, with a second picket line planned in the evening to disrupt the VIPs coming in to see the exhibition.
