This is the chilling moment two men attempted to kidnap a four-year-old girl as her mother stood guard in a valiant effort to save her in urban New Delhi.

The incident, which was captured on CCTV cameras, took place at East Delhi's Shakarpur area on July 21.

Footage showed the bike-borne kidnappers trying to flee the area with the pillion rider holding her. However, the alert mother snatches the child back, forcing the men to flee.

Seeing the mother step up, the neighbours too come to her help and tries to catch hold of the kidnappers, however, they fail.

Fortunately, the mother managed to save her child, though the men flee with her bag.
