Driver rescues tired bumble bee and gives it sugar in West Yorkshire, UK
An exhausted bee that hitched a ride in a car was given sugar after the kind driver saw it struggling by his window.
John Shepherd said he thought he needed to give the little bee some sweets to perk it up after he noticed that it looked tired.
The insect enthusiast was driving at Todmorden, West Yorkshire, UK on July 8 when he came across the insect.
He said: "I saw the bee on the door window of my van, just as I was about to open the door. I noticed it didn't move, so I went indoors for some sugar, with the intention of reviving him."
He added that the bee gladly accepted the sugar bits and rested a little before it flew away.
