In a fantastic case of ingenuity in times of need, authorities deployed loudspeakers to educate children amid COVID-19 pandemic in central India’s Chhattisgarh.

The project was first launched on June 18 in Bastar’s Bhatpal village, which organically grew to neighboring villages in a month’s time.

According to reports, District Collector Rajat Bansal, sensed an increasing need for children to blossom amid the countrywide shutdown wherein schools were prohibited from being reopened.

Visuals show the children jotting down notes as a teacher tutors them, all while maintaining a social distance.

Reportedly, remote villages within Bastar district have no access to the internet, wherein most families do not have the privilege to own smartphones.

Rajat, along with his team, then devised the project to overcome the problem through ingenuity, which became a big hit in no time.

The interactive project has cost an average of INR 70,000 (USD 936) across multiple villages in the district, and runs for a total of 3 hours in one day.
