In a shocking incident, a 20-year-old water pipeline suddenly burst open in northern India's Rajasthan.

The incident took place at Ratnada intersection in Jodhpur on July 26.

According to reports, the pipeline laid down below the main road burst open spewing large quantities of water in the surrounding areas.

The video shows a car passing through the area when the incident occurred leading to the collapse of a part of the road owing to the water pressure.

The incident left a massive crater in the middle of the road with water shooting up like a fountain.

However, the car escaped the situation unharmed by a delay of five seconds.

According to experts, the one-and-a-half-feet diameter pipe has a pressure of 10 pounds per square inch.

Reportedly, the pipeline was weakened due to vehicles running on the road laid on top of the water line.
