Huge crowds of young people ignored COVID-19 precautions and slamdanced into each other during a music festival in Greece on Saturday (July 25).

Chairs flew at the festival as spectators danced en masse, removing seats put in place in order to maintain social distancing.

Thousands attended the hard-rock Long Beach Festival in Pieria, Greece, which featured bands such as Rotting Christ, Planet of Zeus and Thrax Punks.

All spectators were screened with a contactless thermometer at the entrance gate and audience seats were spaced out.

But fans' emotions got the better of them as they flouted social distancing rules and flocked to the front of the stage, which quickly turned into a heaving mosh pit.
