In a rescue operation, sub-divisional officials rescued villagers crammed up onboard a boat in northern India’s Bihar, after an embankment was breached which flooded a village.

The incident took place on July 24 in Bhawanipur in East Champaran district.

According to reports, villagers onboarded a boat in excess in a hurry to be rescued and posed a risk of the boat turning turtle.

Officials rushed to spot in order to evacuate all the natives to safety.

The visual shows a boat tied to the rear end of the National Disaster Response Force motorboat, crowded with allegedly 40 people, as they are evacuated to a safer place.
