This public elementary school in Indonesia is now reopening its door to students with new COVID-19 safety protocols.

Footage from July 27 shows students escorted by their parents in Pasar Pandan Air Mati, West Sumatra welcomed at the school gates with a body temperature check by a teacher and health worker wearing protective masks.

Inside the classrooms, children's individual desks are separated with protective plastic panels, and both children and teachers are seen wearing face masks.

The shortened teaching schedule reduces their day from 7:00 am until 9:30 am, and students are not permitted to play outside.

Desriyondra, the principal of SDN 09 PPA school, explains in the video: "We run from Monday to Saturday because we have 60 students and can only have 10 students in the classroom at one time.

"I thank God for this support. The school department share roles with parents, who prepare masks and supplies."

Indonesia closed schools in March and allowed a phased reopening of schools on July 13, the beginning of the school year according to the ministry’s official academic calendar.

CREATIVE SOLUTIONS OF SCHOOL IN THE COVID 19

During the Covid 19 epidemic that hit Indonesia today and West Sumatra in particular, disrupted teaching and learning activities so students were welcome to learn virtually in their homes.

In contrast to the Public Elementary School 09 Pasar Pandan Air Mati (PPA), Tanjung Harapan Subdistrict, Solok City, West Sumatra. Students are required to be escorted by parents, then welcomed by a body temperature check by the teacher and health worker, then must wash their hands and proceed to their respective classes.

Students are welcome to bring provisions from home, because the rest schedule is not allowed to go out to play, but only in class.

The teaching and learning schedule is slightly shortened, starting at 7:00 a.m. until 09:30 a.m., then students are welcome to go home to their homes with parents who are waiting outside to pick up.

Principal of SDN 09 Pasar Pandan Air Mati (PPA), Desriyondra explained "Class 1 for one day is only for 10 students and runs from Monday to Saturday because of the number of students 60 people, had previously requested a statement from all parents, thank God for support and also have permission from the department and share roles with parents, parents prepare masks and supplies, because there is no break out but in the class later, ". SOLUSI KREATIF BERSEKOLAH DIMASA COVID 19

Pada masa wabah Covid 19 yang melanda Indonesia saat ini dan Sumatera Barat khususnya, membuat aktivitas belajar mengajar terganggu sehingga para siswa dipersilahkan untuk belajar secara virtual di rumah masing masing.

Berbeda dengan Sekolah Dasar Negeri 09 Pasar Pandan Air Mati (PPA), Kecamatan Tanjung Harapn, Kota Solok, Sumatera Barat. Melalui kreativitas serta dukungan dan kerjasama dengan pihak kesehatan, kebencanaan, wali murid dan lainnya, murid kelas 1 dipersilahkan untuk tatap muka, namun wajib menerapkan protokol covid 19 di lingkungan sekolah.

Para murid diwajibkan diantar oleh orang tua, kemudian disambut dengan pemeriksaan suhu tubuh oleh guru dan petugas kesehatan, kemudian wajib mencuci tangan dan dilanjutkan ke kelas masing masing.

Para siswa dipersilahkan untuk membawa bekal dari rumah, karena jadwal istirahat tidak di perkenankan untuk keluar main, melainkan hanya dikelas.

Jadwal belajar mengajar sedikit dipersingkat, yakni mulai pukul 07.00 wib hingga 09.30wib, kemudian murid dipersilahkan pulang kerumah masing masing bersama orang tua yang menanti di luar untuk menjemput.

Kepala Sekolah SDN 09 Pasar Pandan Air Mati (PPA), Desriyondra menjelaskan" Kelas 1 untuk satu hari hanya untuk 10 siswa dan berlangsung dari senin hingga sabtu karena jumlah siswa 60 orang,sebelumnya telah minta surat pernyataan dari seluruh orang tua siswa, alhamdulillah mendukung dan juga sudah izin dari dinas dan berbagi peran dengan orang tua, orang tua menyiapkan masker dan bekal, karena tidak ada istirahat keluar melainkan didalam kelas nantinya,".(moozamochi)
