This is video of a 5-alarm fire that broke out just before 7am PST south of the 101 freeway in San Francisco, near 13th street and Erie Street on Tuesday, July 28, 2020. I shot the video from my living room about 0.2 miles away. San Francisco Fire Department was already fighting the fire when I started filming. They had five or six ladders spraying water on the fire, including two that appeared to be stationed on the freeway, which was closed to traffic in the easterly direction. SFFD brought the fire under control in about 2 hours, as indicated by the smoke turning from black to white. News reports later indicated that the fire seem to have started in a warehouse or automotive repair facility.
