Wild python caught after eating prized rooster on farm in Thailand
A ferocious python raided a farmer's chicken coop and ate her prized rooster in Prachuap Khiri Khan, western Thailand.
Owner Orasa Boonyuen, 26, contacted the rescue team after she found the python in the coop when she went to feed her chickens on Monday July 20 morning.
The rescuers and the owner teamed up to catch the enormous 10ft long serpent that is still full with the chicken it ate.
The relieved owner said she noticed that her prized rooster was missing before finding that the snake had sneaked in her coop.
She said: "I went to feed the chickens as usual but when I noticed that my favourite rooster was missing, I took a closer look and saw the snake.
"I rushed out and tried to calm down and contacted the rescue team to catch it. I think the python might have been starving and slithered to find food inside."
The serpent was put into a sack before the rescuers released it back to the wild away from the village.
