Man swings two glasses of water without spilling a single drop in southern India
In a gravity-defying stunt, a 28-year-old man spins two glasses full of water tied to a rope without spilling a drop in southern India's Tamil Nadu.
Footage from the city of Chennai on June 6 displays the surreal trick.
According to local reports, the man in the clip is Sarath Kumar, who has been training in the ancient Indian martial arts, Silambam since he was three-years-old.
Kumar fills two glasses with water and places each on a plate tied to a rope on both ends. Using the rope, he lifts the glasses and begins to swing them like a pendulum.
Following this, he twirls and swings them vigorously around his head and body without spilling a single drop of the water.
By profession, Kumar is a car driver. However, that never stopped him from mastering his agility and hand-eye coordination.
While this might appear like magic, the stunt can be explained by simple physics. Inertia, to be specific, is the resistance of an object to any change in its velocity. An inward force, despite the object moving in a circle, is what prevents water from spilling out of the glasses.
