the Short-Toed Snake Eagle is a rather large bird, and rare to see in the Alps. He feeds on snakes and lizzards. He does this static flight on spot to look out for animals. Here is a video showing his static flight, first edited in realtime speed, then in slow motion x4 . This static flight is often observed with common kestrels, too, but this Short-Toed Snake Eagle is a much larger bird.
