Kind passerby returns lost wallet with containing thousands of dollars
A kind man returned the a wallet containing 3,000 dollars to its owner who left it in front of a bank.
Shyrilyn Atienza, 25, went to the bank to withdraw some cash in Mandaluyong City, the Philippines on July 18 afternoon.
The woman forgot that she had placed her wallet on top of the machine while doing the transaction and left without it.
The wallet contained 85,000 pesos (1,800 US dollars) in cash and a gold chain bracelet worth 40,000 pesos (900 US dollars).
She said: "Honestly, I no longer hope that my wallet will be returned because of the pandemic and there's so many people who lost their jobs.
"It's also hard to remember who could be there when it happened because we were all wearing masks."
However, just a few days after losing her valuables, Jem Calise had contacted her about the wallet. The kind man returned the wallet with all of her money and jewellery still inside.
The thankful woman said: "I am glad that he was the one who found my wallet. I still believe that there are kind people on earth because of him."
