Further footage: Blood on floor of shop after stabbing in Islington
A stabbing has taken place in Islington, north London, according to eyewitnesses.
Video captured on Saturday evening (August 1) shows an injured man covered in blood being taken away. Blood on the shop floor can also be seen. A police cordon was in place around Metro Food & Wine store on Junction Road, N9.
A fight had broken out inside the shop, according to the filmer, who spoke to people at the scene.
“Witnesses have told me that a young male has been stabbed inside the Metro Food & Wine shop on Junction Road, Islington," Newsflare's filmer said. "The victim has been rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The London Air Ambulance attended the scene. Police have closed Junction Road off and closed the shop for forensics,” he added.
