A women in South India changed her home into a bird sanctuary.
Vijaya Priya lives in Pammal a place next to the Chennai, the concrete jungle and the capital city of TamilNadu in South India. The chirpings of the birds shows the way to her house in that area. She has indeed an awesome relationship with the birds. Every day during the dawn and the dusk birds come in search of her home to feed themselves. Water and Grains are placed in an orderly manner for the birds in the terrace of her house. Feeding them and watching them eat the grains makes me the happiest women in the world says vijaya priya.
“The crows first come and have their meal then next comes the doves followed by squirrels and the parrots. This will be the order for that is followed by birds itself for eating the food. Even if parrots arrive early they patiently wait for their turn to have their food. I have been doing this for the past 6 years. I will hide myself and watch the birds picking their food grains.” They will fly after filling their tummy now comes the terrace cleaners that is the ants. They will pull over the remaining grains to their hideouts. Then the terrace will become cleaner than before.”
“The same menu will not be for all the birds. Crows will be fed with Milk or Curd with the cooked rice, soaked rice for the parrots and millets for the doves. Vijaya Priya haven’t taken a day off from her usual routine of feeding birds now their sons are also lending a helping hand for her. Half an hour at morning and evening you can hear the chirping noise in my terrace. The nearby coconut trees and the Mango trees will be filled with birds every morning and evening one will be awestruck to see this. These birds will fly away if anybody other than me comes to the terrace. I feel happy in doing this and I will continue this till my last breath” says Vijayapriya an epitome of humanity.
