Longer version_Mob enters lawyer's house, assaults him and his family members including wife, girl child in northern India
An angry mob barged into a lawyer’s house and thrashed him while assaulting his wife and a girl child in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
The incident took place in Hanspuram of Naubasta in Kanpur on August 3.
Sources suggest, previously a motorcyclist whizzed past the advocate, identified as Upamanyu Singh, while he was standing outside his house.
Following this, a puddle of mud sprayed onto him and Singh went ahead and stopped the motorcyclist, asking him to ride under the speed limit.
The youth left the spot, yet returned with a dozen men and attacked his house.
In the CCTV footage, the miscreants can be seen entering the house as a small girl opens the gate.
On entering they start hitting the lawyer, and when his wife tries to resist, they attack her too.
An elderly man tries to stop the scuffle, however, gets pushed aside by the mob.
He can be seen being slapped by one of the miscreants before they flee the spot.
According to the reports, a case has been registered against the 15 people who attacked the family including woman, a child and the elderly person.
According to Singh, the miscreants threatened to kill him and take away his daughter while misbehaving with his wife.
The cops are investigating the case further.
