Beirut blast aftermath footage shows injured being stretchered away and windows blown out

Aftermath footage shows emergency services on the scene and smoke still rising from the mountain of rubble following a powerful blast in Beirut on Tuesday (August 4) that killed at least 50 people.

Video filmed at around 7pm local time shows injured being stretchered away, crumpled cars and the apartments destroyed.

The blast destroyed the port and sent shockwaves throughout the city causing significant infrastructure damage.

At least 50 people have been confirmed dead and at least a further 2,750 injured, the Lebanese Health Ministry has confirmed.
