Two Indian villagers were swept away by floodwater after the earth they were standing on gave way in Teragach village, northeast India.

The pair were attempting to stop an electric pole from falling into the neighbouring Kankai river as the land beneath them fell apart.

Both of the villagers were eventually rescued as they managed to cling on to bamboo branches in the river.

This footage was filmed on July 29.

Two villagers of Teragach village in Kishanganj district in Bihar were miraculously saved after they swept away in heavy wave of water of Kankai river. Both of them was trying to hold the electric pole from falling due to erosion of land after flood hit the area. While both of them were trying to holf the wire of the pole suddenly the land erosion happens. Both of them swept away in water but luckily stucks and holds bambo branches in river side .
Both of them was rescued by villagers. The incident happened on 29th july
