Firefighters helped avert major accident after car caught on fire in front of gas station in southern India

A major fire accident was averted by gas station employee's timely act and quick movements, after a car that came to fill fuel caught fire right next to the gas station in the south Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

The incident took place in Tiruchengode of Namakkal district on July 23.

The video shows the car caught on flames and gas station employees along with firefighters extinguishing the fire.

According to the reports, Prakash from an auto consultant came to the fuel station to refuel the car.

On spotting flames from inside the car, he immediately escaped the spot.

The station employees tried to extinguish the fire with the help of equipment available inside the station.

Meanwhile, Gunasekhar fire department officer along with his team arrived at the spot and extinguished the fire.
