Snake rescue officials captured and relocated a 10-foot long cobra found in the grounds of a temple in southeast India.

A king cobra was spotted by a priest at the temple in Ganjam, Odisha and the Snake Helpline was called to the scene.

The officials then captured the deadly snake and relocated it in a safe place.

This footage was filmed on August 5.

10 ft long King cobra snake has been rescued from the premises of the Nandikeshwar temple in the Chaitanpur administration of Patrapur block of Ganjam district under Indian state of Odisha in Eastern India.

As the temple priest was returning in the evening, he suddenly saw a giant snake under the temple hound. The villagers then informed the Snake Helpline and the local forest department. Members of the Forest Department and the Snake Helpline arrived at the scene and rescued the 10 ft long deadly venomous King cobra from the temple grounds.

The rescue operation was carried out by Samantiapalli forest ranger Rajat Mishra along with members of the Snake Helpline Berhampur.
Eventually, at the behest of the forest ranger, the King cobra snake was released into the protected forest.
