In a fortunate turn of events, mine-workers discovered at least three diamonds worth INR 2,000,000 (USD 26676) while mining in central India’s Madhya Pradesh.

The seven-and-a-half carat diamonds were found on August 6 in Panna’s Jaruapur village.

According to reports, the miner, Shubal along with five more partners, had taken the diamond mine on lease amid the lock-down period, to test their luck.

The three diamonds weigh 4.43, 2.16, and 0.93 carats respectively.

After the gems were unearthed, the labourers deposited them to the district diamond office for further procedures.

Visuals show the three tiny, yet expensive jewels being examined for their worth.

The gem shall be duly put up for auction, and whatever proceeds it generates, will be handed over to the mining team of six.
