80 cm of snow buried the city I dug my way free from my basement apartment The only door was blocked with snow to the top I started by shoveling snow into the bathtub until I could crawl out through the top of the door and dig a narrow path back I shoveled the snow in the bathtub back outside again and started digging my way to the street Once there I saw that there was roughly three feet of snow along the entire road we were going to be here a while Getting tired by this point I turned around to see that my upstairs neighbors were somehow snowed in worse than myself the wind drifted snow against the front of the house I continued heaving snow until I made a shovel width walkway to their front door it wasnt much but at least they could get out if there was an emergency Exhausted from hours of work combating the snowmageddon that fell upon us I recorded a video of my efforts before calling it a day and heading inside for some much needed rest The following morning I finished clearing out my stairwell and driveway much of the snow I had to throw five to ten feet over the growing snowbanks peak it took a few days before any plows made it to cut a narrow path through our street but in the end myself and many others in the city laughed it off making jokes of the whole ordeal The city was in a state of emergencySOE for 8 days The public was encouraged to stay home and off the roads entirely unless it was an emergency and only a couple small windows were opened for people to use the streets open stores and gather essential items after we were a few days stuck inside Thankfully my wife and I were stocked on all the basic necessitys that we did not have to risk traveling the roads before the SOE was officially lifted
